What’s new
The world keeps
getting deeper.
Every campaign you already have inherits these the moment they ship — no migration, no lost saves. Here is what has landed so far.
August 2026 · what the two plans actually are
Premium plays as many campaigns as you like, 10 kept at a time. Free is three, and three is the total.
- ✦Premium has no limit on how many campaigns you play — ten are kept at a time, and that ten is housekeeping rather than a ceiling: delete one and the next begins straight away. The earlier note below called it "a number instead of a promise", which read as a cap on the game itself. It was never that.
- ✦Free is three campaigns in total — a total, not three slots. Deleting one does not release a fourth. Until today both plans counted the same way, so the free tier could quietly rotate for ever and the difference between the two was seven slots; now the plans differ in what they mean, not just in a number.
- ✦And the two Premium worlds are named where they are sold — The Long Road and The Arcanum open whole with a subscription, which the pricing page had somehow never said out loud.
August 2026 · a number instead of a promise
Premium now holds ten campaigns, not endless ones.
- ✦Ten campaigns on Premium, three on free — across all worlds, and archived ones count on either plan. On Premium, deleting one frees a slot; on free the three are a lifetime total, so deleting does not give you another. Premium used to say unlimited, and that was the wrong promise to make: a saved game is a living thing on our side, kept and backed up whether or not anyone opens it again, and an endless pile of games nobody returns to is a cost we would rather spend on the games you are actually playing.
- ✦Your games are still yours — every campaign can be exported and kept on your own machine, so a story you want to hold on to for ever does not depend on us holding it for you. On Premium, exporting and deleting a saved game makes room within the storage limit. Free's later lifetime creation allowance is not restored by deletion.
- ✦Nothing was taken from anyone — this changed before the doors opened, while the price was still being set. No account has ever been billed under the old wording.
- ✦And the free tier is unchanged — three campaigns across all worlds, as before. (That three later became a lifetime total — see the entry above.) A free game you stop opening is still archived after about thirty days and may be removed after about ninety; opening it keeps it.
June 2026 · the depth update
A whole world of systems, in one wave.
- ✦Companions — recruit NPC allies who travel and fight at your side; the engine runs them in combat, and a loyalty bond decides who stays.
- ✦A living social world — the gamemaster tracks how key people and factions feel about you, and it colours prices, favours and which doors open.
- ✦Guilds & factions — join, earn rank and reputation, and reap a hall, a discount or rank-gated work.
- ✦Weather & the road — a sky that bites (storm, fog, snow), optional rations for the journey, and downtime between adventures.
- ✦Crafting & income — turn gathered components into gear, and let a dwelling you own earn its keep.
- ✦A bestiary — every foe you fight is logged with its stats: a monster manual built from lived experience.
- ✦Exhaustion, day & night, a stash, owned property, hard encumbrance — the survival details, optional where they should be.
The foundation
The complete 5e core, enforced.
- ✦Every class, single-class, plus engine-enforced multiclassing with every prerequisite checked — unoccupied ground for an AI gamemaster.
- ✦Two subclasses per class, expertise, backgrounds, real combat (initiative, death saves, conditions) and a living map with fog-of-war.
- ✦A companion viewer — live map, character sheet and journal — and a woven backstory for every character.
